CDMS seeks an innovative Director of EH&S Services with 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting to join our team. This leadership role directly impacts employee retention, customer satisfaction, and company growth.
Core Responsabilities
  • Team Leadership
    • Recruit, manage, and mentor EHS specialists and Project Managers across Bay Area and LA
    • Implement retention strategies and conduct regular career development check-ins
    • Create and maintain comprehensive training materials, processes and tech tools
    • Train specialists to identify upselling opportunities, request client referrals during site visits, and recommend appropriate additional plans/services to existing clients
    • Manage workload redistribution and knowledge transfer when team changes occur
    • Step in to directly manage critical client relationships when there are issues or during staffing gaps
    • Handle difficult client situations and guide team members on appropriate actions
  • Technical Excellence
    • Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into service offerings
    • Develop best practices, SOPs and tech tools to enable company scaling
    • Provide coverage for team members' workloads during periods of transition or turnover
    • Personally manage select ACS clients to understand client needs firsthand
    • Quality control deliverables to maintain high standards
  • Business Development
    • Network with industry organizations throughout California
    • Create content for webinars, newsletters and industry publications
    • Support sales initiatives and develop targeted value propositions
    • Implement strategies to successfully onboard clients onto long term contracts and to convert new clients into long-term relationships
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • CSP, CHMM, PE or PG certifications a plus
  • Experience in Hazardous Waste/Materials, Stormwater, Wastewater, and Air Quality compliance
  • Strong communication and project management abilities
  • Proven record of team leadership and client relationship management
