CDMS is a growing EH&S consulting firm seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to expand our client base across California. What You Will Do:

  • Drive Business Growth: Identify, engage, and secure new clients across industrial and manufacturing sectors. Leverage your expertise to introduce CDMS’s services to key decision-makers.
  • Strategic Networking: Build relationships with facility managers, EHS leaders, and industry professionals to develop long-term partnerships.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Present tailored EHS compliance solutions, demonstrating how CDMS can address regulatory needs and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Proposal Development: Craft compelling proposals and RFP responses that effectively communicate the value of CDMS services.
  • Sales Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of two SDRs while collaborating closely with an inside sales representative to maximize lead generation and conversion.
  • Market Expansion: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to increase CDMS visibility and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with internal teams to refine service offerings, provide feedback on market trends, and enhance the client experience.
  • Travel: Conduct on-site visits and client meetings across California (approximately 25% travel required).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of business development or sales experience in EHS consulting, technical services, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of California environmental & safety regulations and how they impact industrial and manufacturing clients.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals with mid-to-large organizations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, and persuasion skills.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive B2B environment.

The Role We're seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manager with 5-8 years of industry experience to join our growing team. This strategic role bridges technical expertise with leadership capabilities, allowing you to both lead projects and contribute to our company's growth. You'll manage key client relationships, oversee compliance initiatives, and serve as a technical mentor to junior specialists while working alongside senior leadership to develop service offerings. What you will do:
  • Lead complex environmental compliance projects for diverse clients, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements from EPA, DTSC, local CUPAs, Fire departments, Water boards, and other agencies
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on environmental compliance matters
  • Analyze regulation changes and enforcement trends to help shape our service offerings and communicate impacts to clients
  • Prepare comprehensive environmental reports, permit applications, and compliance documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior specialists while supporting their professional development

What You Bring
  • 5-8 years of experience in environmental consulting or related industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (Master's degree a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of California EH&S regulations, particularly in air quality, hazardous materials/waste, stormwater, and wastewater compliance
  • Professional certifications (PE, PG, CHMM, CSP, QISP etc.) highly valued
  • Strategic thinking abilities with a talent for anticipating client needs and regulatory trends
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to clients
  • Comfortable conducting trainings for groups of 10-40 people
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and environmental compliance software
  • Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and collaboratively

We are looking to hire a smart and collaborative person to join the CDMS team as an Environmental & Safety Consultant. The role will be responsible for assisting businesses with Air Quality, Wastewater, Hazardous Material, Storm Water, Safety and many other requirements. What you will do:
  • Preparing reports for our clients to follow guidance and regulations designed by EPA, DTSC, local CUPAs, Fire departments, Water boards and other federal, state and local government agencies.
  • Assisting with permitting requirements and documentation (Air Quality, Wastewater, Tiered Permitting, Storm Water, etc.).
  • Conducting training for employees of client companies.
  • Conducting monitoring (air monitoring, soil sampling, etc.).
  • Conducting compliance audits.
  • Providing ongoing compliance support to clients.
  • Providing various other support activities to clients to assist with their compliance efforts.
What You Bring Interested in joining forces? To excel in this role you’ll need to have:
  • The ability to work independently.
  • A high attention to detail and strong project management skills.
